Why Should Women Support Other Women?
It’s everywhere these days—talks about women’s rights, equality, and fair treatment. We’ve probably heard most of there is to say about women and struggles with patriarchy, but what we don’t talk about enough is how women can make things even better for other women.
Asking for others these vital points should start from women themselves. Why?
Because women need to lift each other
Support shouldn’t be blind and in this case, it isn’t, it’s just recognizing the hardships other women have gone through and doing anything that might help solidify change for everyone else. It’s mostly empathy.
Because a strong cause needs a strong base
Fighting the good fight isn’t a walk in the park, so every bit of help is needed. It’s good to have a robust community that knows the issues and is determined to move it forward.
Because there are better things when women support women
Society would almost always pit women against each other, supporting the notion that there are limited resources for everyone. Regardless of what that means, it’s not true. There are more opportunities for women if they work harmoniously, whether it’s at work, school, or literally anywhere else.
If you think about it, the act of women supporting women is a no-brainer. It just needs more mobilizing for improved traction.
